Day 21~Reindeer Hand Prints

Put a little more paint on Robert today to make the long face for Rudolph, and of course, he found this to be really funny.  I love watching him chase the eyes to get them in the glue to make the face!

Day 20~Christmas Cookies!

Not really a craft, unless you consider what it takes from three adults to make an almost two year old not eat all of the sugar!  We frosted and he put the sugar toppings on, and did a great job!

Day 19~Fingerprint Candy Canes

As with most of these projects, I found this on Pinterest and thought it was a really cute idea!  It took no time at all with mom's help, and we had more fun playing in the paint afterwards!!

Day 18~Painting Paper Ornaments

I have come to the realization that my son loves to paint.  I quick project I found was to print paper ornaments and let them decorate however they want.  He loves to mix colors, as you can see!

Day 17~Handprint Wreath

I love making projects with Robert's handprints.  One it is easy to do, and he is beginning to like having paint on his hands.   I love how this turned out, with his stickers and all!

Day 16~Santa Handprints

How cute is this little Santa hand print?  The only thing we would have done differently is to paint his thumb red to put the pom-pom there!

Day 15~Reindeer Handprint Ornaments

I love making this projects that show his size at this age, so I never forget he was that small.  These reindeer handprint ornaments turned out really cute, and he did a good job putting the noses and eyes on each one!

Day 14~Painted Picture Frames

As part of our Christmas gifts to family, we always do pictures, and what better craft than to have Robert help paint and decorate these frames.   Mom helped so they liked nice, but he did help put the paint on in places and put the stickers where mom showed him!

Day 13~Robert Snowmen

I couldn't pass up letting Bubba use markers to help turn himself into a snowman!  He started off good, but his aunt's arm was attacked and his mouth ate the blue marker.  Thank goodness for non-toxic, washable markers!!

Day 12~Ornaments

Giving an almost two year old a plate of paint, may have someone thinking "huge mess".  In my house its "what color of brown will we make today"?  He had fun painting the premade ornaments, but the color of mixture is not so good!

Day 11~Candy Canes

I wondered if this project would be a little to hard to an almost two year old, but he was so determined to get these beads on.  I love the look on his face in the above pictures, and his finished work speaks volumes!

Day 10~Santa Hats

What can be more fun that playing with cotton balls for the first time?  Robert loved throwing, tearing, and even tasting them, but with a little direction, he was able to stick them to the glue mom put on the hats and make a cute little Santa hat.

Day 9~Sticker Tree

When I stopped in at the childcare center where my sister-in-law works, I saw another teacher doing this project with her three year old classroom.  I figured it was worth a try, and sure enough the stickers were confusing Robert as to why the were sticking to his finger.  After several tries at showing him how to stick it to the paper, this is what he did!

Day 8~Handprint Christmas Tree

As a parent, when you look back at your child when they were little, it is hard to remember them that small. A project like this captures a moment in time when your little one makes a mark on the holiday season. A little paint and little hands makes for a wonderful tree.

Day 7~Glitter Snowflakes

Some may think that letting a one year old play with glue and glitter sounds like a messy event, but with guidance and patience, there was little mess to clean up. Mom ended up making the design on the paper, but he tried and had more fun playing with the glitter!

Day 6~Shaving Cream Snowmen

To try and get Robert a little more messy, we got out the glue and shaving cream to make snowmen.  Once the snowman dried up, we got out the paint and made him look like a melted snow man with his top hat, face and carrot nose floating in the mess.

Day 5~Reindeer Prints

What better way to see over the years how much your child will grow, but with a sample in time of how big their feet and hands are.  This is a cute way to use both prints to make a reindeer for your decorations.  It's also fun to stick the eyes and nose on with glue for the little one!
